Pro to Pro: A Progressive Panel

The Circle of Excellence invites all PMAR members to a progressive panel with well-regarded local agents. This is your opportunity to chat, live and in-person, with some of the most successful people in the business. Ask them for advice, hear their tips, and bring your business cards for networking.

What’s a progressive panel? Attendees will be assigned to groups, then the panelists will rotate between the groups so everyone has a chance to meet them.

  • Wednesday, August 27th, 4-7 p.m.
  • The Loft at 8th Avenue, Portland
  • No host food and bar available
  • FREE for Circle of Excellence members; $15 for PMAR members; $25 for non-PMAR members
  • Registration closes on August 26th at 5 p.m.

At this event, the Circle of Excellence will also be collecting books for this year’s philanthropic partner, the Children’s Book Bank at SMART Reading.

Book Bank Volunteer Event

The Circle of Excellence invites you to volunteer with the Children’s Book Bank at SMART Reading. You do not have to be a Circle of Excellence member to participate.

Come lend a hand as we spruce-up donated books which will later be distributed to thousands of children in the Portland area. Every book is inspected and cleaned by volunteers, which includes wiping covers, taping torn pages, erasing scribbles, covering inscriptions, and reinforcing worn spines. No previous experience with children’s books is needed.

Two volunteer shifts available:
Friday, August 8th, 9:30-11:30 a.m. (register by August 4th)
Friday, September 12th, 9:30-11:30 a.m. (register by September 8th)

Fairhaven 2.0 Challenge

YPN vs. Circle of Excellence

PMAR’s YPN (Young Professionals Network) issued a challenge to the Circle of Excellence: which group will have the most members who complete Fairhaven 2.0 by October 31st, 2025?

Fairhaven 2.0 is NAR’s dynamic online simulation where real estate professionals tackle fair housing challenges head-on. Through realistic scenarios, practical insights, and historical context, you’ll explore key topics like steering, bias, disability accommodations, and standing up for clients facing discrimination.

This course helps ensure that your business practices comply with the letter and spirit of federal, state, and local law, as well as the Realtor Code of Ethics. It also meets the new NAR fair housing training requirement that takes effect January 1, 2025. Best of all, it’s free for NAR members.
